Man rescued after fall in vacant Minneapolis grain bin

Dozens of firefighters worked for hours overnight to rescue a man who'd fallen nearly 60 feet down into a vacant grain bin. Reports say he broke his jaw and had several serious cuts. He was taken to a local hospital, and his condition is not known.

2 charged in death of man found next to burning dumpster

A charred body found near a garbage dumpster has now led to murder charges against two Twin Cities men. Authorities had trouble identifying the body when it was found earlier this month, but a distinctive tattoo led to tips. The suspects from Minneapolis and Brooklyn Center are charged with second-degree murder.

Heat advisory in effect today; more storms possible through weekend

The Great Minnesota Get-Together opened Thursday morning with a bang as thunder and lightning greeted fairgoers. Morning thunderstorms will make way for heat and humidity this afternoon, with temperatures rising into the lower 90s in the Twin Cities. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory because heat indices could reach 105 degrees.
