Rainbow CEO defends firing of store manager stabbed in chest

A bartender at Erick's Bar in St. Paul cut off a customer and tried to escort him out, then the man stabbed him in the stomach. Other patrons darted after the suspect, tackled him and wrestled the knife away. The man apologized and told police he lost control.

Two men stabbed at State Fair

Police say two men are hospitalized after being stabbed at the Minnesota State Fair. A portion of the fairgrounds was closed after the incident near an arcade on Dan Patch Avenue. Police said it was not a random stabbing. There were no immediate arrests.

Image Sensing Systems fires CEO

Kenneth Aubrey has been terminated from the St. Paul-based software company effective immediately. Kris Tufto, an Image Sensing board member, was named interim CEO. Michael Doyle, a company director, also resigned from the board in protest of Aubrey's termination.

Suspect arrested for fatally stabbing young Montevideo woman

A 24-year-old Montevideo man is behind bars for allegedly stabbing an 18-year-old coworker 30 times in the Montevideo Pizza Ranch parking lot Friday evening. The female victim was taken to a hospital where she later died. WCCO reports police found Darek Nelson standing near the woman with a knife. He's at the Yellow Medicine County jail awaiting criminal charges.
