Ramsey Co. divers in water in search for Kira Trevino

Ramsey County Sheriff's water patrol officers were wading in a creek at the southern end of Keller Lake in Maplewood on Monday in the search for Kira Trevino, the 30-year-old St. Paul woman who went missing Feb. 21, the Star Tribune reports.

Divers were poking along the creek bed with probes one day after volunteer searchers found another "item of interest" in the area, the newspaper reported. Investigators did not offer comment about it.

Searchers organized five searches over the weekend.

That items was in addition to evidence with Trevino's DNA discovered at Keller Lake last week – a bag containing a bloody pillowcase, sports bra, shirt and a sponge.

Trevino's husband Jeffery Trevino has been charged with second-degree murder in the case, although her body has not been found.
