Ramsey man charged after threatening to start woman on fire

An Anoka County man faces charges for allegedly threatening to set a woman on fire last weekend.

ABC Newspapers reports 30-year-old Adeola Adisa Adeogun of Ramsey is charged with felony terroristic threats and misdemeanor domestic assault.

According to the criminal complaint, police were called to the 14800 block of Peridot St. in Ramsey for a domestic assault on Saturday around 8:30 p.m.

The woman, who's relationship with the man is unclear, told police an argument with Adeogun lead to some pushing and shoving between the two.

At one point, Adeogun sent children inside the home upstairs to their bedrooms.

The complaint states Adeogun went out into the garage and returned with a gas can. The woman said he also had a lighter in hand and claimed he was going to set her on fire.

The woman ran from the house, the children following behind her, and called 911. When officers arrived, the woman was found standing in the garage without shoes or a coat.

Adeogun was booked into the Anoka County Jail that evening.
