Teddy Bridgewater's agent Kennard McGuire, told ESPN's Adam Schefter, "I would not overreact to a story that had zero substance and no credibility."

The Star Tribune's Mark Craig reported, similar news that Bridgewater was still continuing with his rehab without a set timeline for a return.

Earlier in day on Friday, Jan. 27, Bleacher Report's Jason Cole said the Vikings quarterback will likely miss the entire 2017 season.

Per Cole's sources, there's a 19-month recovery period for the extensive knee injuries Bridgewater suffered in late August, putting his return date in March of 2018.

The Vikings were reached for comment only to say there is no update on Bridgewater and that head coach Mike Zimmer's comments from his season-ending press conference still stand.

Bridgewater suffered a torn ACL, dislocated knee and other damage during a non-contact injury during practice. If Bridgewater is out, Sam Bradford will begin the season as Minnesota's starting quarter.

Sporting News' David Steele called it the most devastating injury of the 2016 NFL season.
