Update: Sex offenders expecting baby together arrested in Fargo

Fargo police have arrested two moderate-risk sex offenders who are reportedly expected a child together.

Each was wanted for failing to register with authorities, which is a condition of their sex offender probation. WDAY reports Denise Kelly Gerszewski, 31, and Wesley Owen Gee, 30, were arrested after one of them sought treatment at a hospital Thursday night.

According to Fargo police, Gerszewski and Gee were living at a halfway house until earlier this month. Both are still on sex offender probation, and under their classification, they are at "moderate risk" to reoffend.

Each was convicted of sex crimes against 16-year-olds, Forum News Service says. Gerszewski's cases involved male victims in 2010 and 2011, and Gee's case involved a female victim in 2006.

WDAY reported last week that police had warned Fargo residents about the absconded sex offenders.

Despite being on sex offender probation, the two were still allowed to be in romantic relationships, Cass County Prosecutor Tristan Van de Streek says.

Fargo Detective Mark Voigtschild told Forum Service that there isn't official confirmation that Gerszewski is pregnant -- and it wouldn't be made official until the child is born.
