Report: Wolves have deal in place with Jeff Teague

Jeff Teague is a one-time All-Star who can score and pass.

As soon as Ricky Rubio was traded to the Utah Jazz, the Minnesota Timberwolves are expected to come to terms with free agent point guard, Jeff Teague, according to Chad Hartman.

Teague's name has been in the rumor mill, mainly connected to the New York Knicks, but as Darren Wolfson points out, Teague is a year younger than Kyle Lowry and much, much cheaper.

Teague averaged 15.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 7.8 assists with the Indiana Pacers last season. In terms of providing a threat from 3-point land, Teague shot about average (35.7%) last season. He shot 40.0% from deep in 2015-16.

More to come.
