2 injured in milk truck crash; Lowry Tunnel reopened
The eastbound lanes of I-94 in Minneapolis reopened just in time for the afternoon rush hour Wednesday after a milk tanker truck crashed in the Lowry Tunnel, KARE 11 reports.
Cleanup of the milk, considered to be a hazardous substance, closed the interstate for a couple hours. The tunnel was cleared and reopened around 3:30 p.m.
The overturned truck came to rest in the eastbound lane shortly after 11 a.m., the Pioneer Press reports.
At least three other vehicles were involved in the crash, and the truck driver and another person were taken to the hospital, the Star Tribune reported.
