A lovingly restored 105-year-old mansion in Duluth is for sale for $1.6 million, the Duluth News Tribune reported.
The Cotton Mansion was rescued from a wrecking ball 15 years ago, the newspaper notes. Owners Ken and Kimberly Aparicio bought the place for $250,000 and carefully set about a massive renovation, restoring crumbling stone and elaborate woodwork, and eventually transforming the historic landmark into an upscale bed and breakfast, the News Tribune reported.
The Aparicios expect it could take one to three years to sell the three-story home and its 1,700-square-foot carriage house on one-half acre property.
