Restaurant chain Ruby Tuesday will be closing 95 locations after a struggling year the company announced.
The locations that will be closed were not yet identified, but the underperforming restaurants will be shuttered by the end of September.
Of the 724 Ruby Tuesday locations nationwide 17 are located in Minnesota.
The company already closed 12 Ruby Tuesday restaurants and 17 Lime Fresh Mexican Grill restaurants this year.
The Thursday financial report showed that its revenue declined 5.9% during the 2016 fiscal year, with same-store sales declining 3.7% over the previous year.
"The decision to close restaurants is a difficult but necessary step as we take aggressive actions to strengthen our organization," President and CEO JJ Buettgen said in a statement. "Performance at each of these locations, despite the loyalty of valued guests and the efforts of our dedicated employees, was not meeting expectations."
Buettgen added that employees affected by the closures will be offered positions at nearby restaurants where possible.
The chain is hoping to bolster attendance and sales through its new Fresh Start initiative, including a revamped menu.
