Scammers sending texts professing to be from Steele County court

In two days more than 20 citizens have complained about text messages that are not really from Steele County District Court. The messages tell recipients a warrant has been issued for their arrest and advise them to call a phone number to take care of it. Those who call the number are told they need to pay $500 to clear up the warrant.
