School closings filtering in from across Minnesota

The winter storm that's spawned blizzard conditions in western Minnesota and snarled traffic across much of the state will lead to a day off for many schoolchildren.

Here's KARE-11's list of school closings and late starts, many of which are in western counties.

KSTP combines their school list with a list of cities that have declared snow emergencies.

Snowfall amounts in the Twin Cities were in the 2 to 5 inch range. Some school districts -- Orono, for example -- have cancelled Monday's classes.

Both Minneapolis and St. Paul have declared snow emergencies.
