Schools in the metro already starting to close ahead of Monday's snowstorm
It's rather unusual for schools in the Twin Cities to announce closures before a snowstorm even arrives, but that's what's happening Sunday night in anticipation of Monday's winter storm.
Some of the big districts that have already closed Monday's classes and activities are:
- Anoka-Hennepin District #11
- Brooklyn Center #286
- Columbia Heights ISD #13
- Elk River/Zimmerman/Otsego/Rogers Schools
- Fridley School District #14
- North St. Paul-Maplewood Schools
- Osseo District #279
- Roseville Area Schools
Even with all of the snow the metro has had this year, this is the first time all year schools in the Osseo district are closing.
Again, those are NOT all of the closings. For continued updates, please refer to your school's websites and social media pages, or follow along with WCCO's list.
