Search for missing snowmobiler to resume Monday

Superior police spent Sunday searching for a snowmobiler who went missing Saturday. WDIO reports that Craig Friebe was last seen riding his snowmobile on St. Louis Bay in Superior. The search for the 51-year-old man was suspended at nightfall. It will resume Monday morning.

The body of a 77-year-old Illinois woman, missing since Friday, was discovered in Lafayette County in southeastern Wisconsin. KARE 11 reports that Mary Scudder of Freeport, Ill., was believed to be en route to Superior, Wis., when she disappeared. Scudder's body was found about 30 feet from her car. An autopsy is planned, but the initial investigation shows exposure to the elements was a factor.

Search resumes for missing autistic boy in Prescott, Wis.

The parents of a 5-year-old Wisconsin boy were clinging to hope he'll be found as searchers regrouped Wednesday morning about 25 miles southeast of the Twin Cities. More than 500 volunteers spent Tuesday searching through grass and wooded areas for Scotty Meyer. The non-verbal autistic boy disappeared while the air conditioner at his family’s home was being repaired at about noon Tuesday.

Search for plane resumes near Duluth

The search resumed Tuesday for a Lakeville pilot and his plane, missing since Friday. The Civil Air Patrol continue to scour the area north of Duluth for Michael Arthur Bratlie, 67, and his white twin-engine Piper PA31 Navaho. Six aircraft and two ground teams are involved in the search Tuesday.
