Search resumes for missing autistic boy in Prescott, Wis.

The parents of a 5-year-old Wisconsin boy were clinging to hope he'll be found as searchers regrouped Wednesday morning about 25 miles southeast of the Twin Cities. More than 500 volunteers spent Tuesday searching through grass and wooded areas for Scotty Meyer. The non-verbal autistic boy disappeared while the air conditioner at his family’s home was being repaired at about noon Tuesday.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Department says the missing 5-year-old boy with autism Scotty Meyer has been found safe and he appears physically unharmed. The child was found by a volunteer searcher's dog in a wooded area near the Mississippi River about a half mile from his home. A small Wisconsin community is mourning the death of 3-year-old Renna Williams after divers found the missing girl late Wednesday afternoon in a canal near her home in Burnett County. WCCO reports hundreds of people spent the day searching for the young girl after she wandered away Tuesday night.

Search for plane resumes near Duluth

The search resumed Tuesday for a Lakeville pilot and his plane, missing since Friday. The Civil Air Patrol continue to scour the area north of Duluth for Michael Arthur Bratlie, 67, and his white twin-engine Piper PA31 Navaho. Six aircraft and two ground teams are involved in the search Tuesday.
