Gary Tilander has been missing for a week now and investigators are expanding their call for help finding the 13-year-old from northern Minnesota.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and Bemidji police are asking everyone in the area from Tenstrike to International Falls to search their property, including campers, sheds, or other outbuildings for any signs of the boy.

Tilander is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 160 pounds, authorities say.

On Feb. 22 he was on the 600 block of Mississippi Ave. in Bemidji, wearing a black hoodie, a red Chicago Bulls cap, gray sweatpants, and black hightop Nikes. Detectives say there have been several tips putting him on Highway 71 near Blackduck.

According to the group Locate The Missing, Tilander had been at a crisis shelter in Bemidji but his usual place of residence is in International Falls. They say family members are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to him.

Anyone with information should call 911.
