Minnesota was lit up last night as a solar storm made for spectacular aurora activity across the state.
Such was the strength of geomagnetic activity, the northern lights were expected to be viewable as far south as the central United States, meaning most in Minnesota had a chance to catch a glimpse.
And plenty of Minnesotans made their way outside around midnight to view the phenomenon.
