A semi spilled corn all over a Minnesota highway

You'll also need to watch out for hungry deer who are looking for a snack.

Wow. That is a lot of corn.

A semi carrying a bunch of kernels crashed and spilled its contents all over Highway 169 near Jordan Tuesday morning.

Both directions of the highway between Delaware Avenue and Minnesota 282 were shutdown around 8 a.m., the Minnesota Department of Transportation says. Only the left northbound lane is still closed as about about 10:45 a.m., with the highway expected to be fully open again after 1:30 p.m.

It happened as part of a two-vehicle crash, with no serious injuries reported, the Minnesota State Patrol says. Apparently there was so much corn, officials had to call in a plow to move the corn off the roadway, KARE 11 reporter Ellery McCardle tweeted.

Also, watch out for deer. The State Patrol says all the corn will attract the animals – so if you're driving along there, pay attention.
