Several St. Paul streets to close for officer's funeral

Several streets near the Cathedral of St. Paul will be closed Friday for funeral services for St. Paul police officer Josh Lynaugh, the Pioneer Press reports. Services are expected to include full police honors at the Cathedral.

Police said several streets would be closed near the Cathedral from about 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

Lynaugh, 30, died Feb. 16 due to complications of a heart attack about two weeks after an on-duty foot chase. He was a five-year veteran of the force.

Gov. Mark Dayton has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff Friday. There's more about the officer, a Stillwater native, in the governor's proclamation.

KARE 11 notes the Lynaugh family has established a scholarship fund in Lynaugh's name. Contributions:
