A dozen elementary school students were taken to the hospital after the school bus they were riding in Monday morning collided with an SUV, KARE 11 reports.

Around 7:45 a.m., nearly 50 children were on the bus en route to Rockford Elementary Arts Magnet School when the accident occurred at the intersection of County Roads 50 and 10 in Corcoran. Details on exactly what happened are unclear.

All but 12 kids were evaluated by ER doctors on scene and released to parents or went to school, according to a letter from the school district. KARE 11 said some suffered bumps and bruises.

WCCO says the students sent to North Memorial Medical Center also had minor injuries.
