Corn maze season is just a few weeks away. Sever's Fall Festival and its popular corn maze will celebrate 20 years of fall fun starting Sept. 9.

As usual, the Shakopee corn maze will have a theme. This year's has to do with the festival's 20th anniversary.

And the corn maze challenge – because there's more than just finding your way out – is to find six pictures of "Sever."

If you find all six – and manage to get out of the maze – you can fill out a "sightings sheet" and enter to win a grand prize of sorts.

There's even some new stuff, like a low ropes obstacle course and Italian foods from Vesuvio's.

Of course, there will be traditional attractions as well, such as the exotic petting zoo, extreme corn pit, zip lines and more. You can see all the attractions by clicking here.

The Shakopee festival will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 30. For exact hours or to buy tickets, click here.

Coming to an end?

There's the question of how many more years this Minnesota tradition will continue.

This Canterbury Park horse racing company bought Farmer Sever Peterson's land earlier this year.

Canterbury Park previously told BringMeTheNews it is looking to develop the land, exploring the possibility of a mixed-use project involving residential and retail units.

The horse racing company's owners told KARE 11 earlier that they hope to work out an arrangement with Peterson to allow his family to continue leasing the land until development begins “a few years down the road.”

According to Sever's website, this is the second oldest corn maze in the United States and the oldest in the Midwest.
