Sheriff's son serving sentence for driving drunk during police chase

The son of Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner has begun serving a 120-day jail sentence for driving drunk during a police chase, a felony. He was also charged with two gross misdemeanors for drunken driving and driving without proof of insurance.

KSTP-TV reports that Nathan Sanner, 29, of St. Cloud, was sentenced last month. The chase happened in November in Stearns County. Nathan Sanner's criminal case was handled by Morrison County in Little Falls. He's serving his sentence at the Benton County Jail.

Nathan Sanner was previously been convicted of a hit-and-run crash while driving drunk, drunken driving and driving without insurance.
