Shop of Minnesota-made gifts in works at MSP

Minnesota visitors who want a gift that's truly from the state of Minnesota will soon have an opportunity to buy such a gift at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, the Pioneer Press reports.

The gift boutique is called Uptown Minnesota, which is currently under construction at the beginning of Concourse G at the Lindbergh Terminal.

The company behind Uptown Minnesota -- St. Croix Promotions and Retail of Bloomington -- also operates four shops and kiosks at the airport.

The vice president of retail for the company says the merchandise features "a combination of artisan products and things from some really great Minnesota companies."

Uptown Minnesota is expected to open March 29.
