Skim milk being voluntarily recalled by Minnesota dairy

Author:

A dairy producer in Forest Lake is voluntarily recalling some of its skim milk product following a consumer advisory by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, The Associated Press reports.

Autumnwood Farm is recalling its brand skim milk in one-half-gallon glass bottles with a sell-by date of June 24.

The state agency issued its advisory after a routine inspection found that the milk had not been properly pasteurized.

Autumnwood Farm is currently in the process of contacting retail stores and restaurants about the recall.

About 500 one-half gallons of the milk were produced, The AP says.

No illnesses from the milk -- which is primarily been distributed in the Twin Cities -- have been reported.
