Snoop Dogg gave a touching induction speech for Tupac Shakur at this past weekend's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
While there have been quite a number of 2Pac tributes over the years, Snoop's stands out for how intimately he knew Pac as a peer, a contemporary and ultimately a collaborator.
He said he looked up to the fellow West Coast rapper before finally meeting him in 1993. The stories of working with Pac, reflecting on his legacy, and seeing his impact all lent more gravity to Snoop calling him "the greatest rapper of all time."
Snoop also performed his landmark Tupac collaboration "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" with YG taking Pac's duties, as well as Alicia Keys and Naughty by Nature's Treach contributing verses to a Pac medley.
The full 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony airs April 29 on HBO.
