Snow causes hotel pool roof collapse near Green Bay, Wisconsin

Luckily, nobody was in the pool.

Heavy snow in northern Wisconsin caused the collapse of the roof over a hotel pool.

The dramatic incident happened Sunday morning at the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites on Ramada Way in Ashwaubenon, near Green Bay.

Fortunately, nobody was in the pool at the time so there were no injuries, but there has been extensive damage to the building.

FOX 11 reports the hotel has been evacuated and guests have been moved to other hotels in the area.

Earlier on Sunday, a 75-foot section of roof collapsed at a barn in nearby Freedom, Wisconsin, the local fire department said.

Nobody was injured in that collapse, and it's not known if any cattle were harmed.

While Minnesota was the hardest hit by Saturday's snowstorm, Wisconsin is getting the worst of it Sunday, with up to 18 inches expected in northern portions of the state.
