From the National Weather Service office in Chanhassen:
Light snow will spread into western Minnesota this morning and then across much of the area by this afternoon. Most places should see an inch or less of snow. The most likely area for some 1-2 inch accumulations will be across central Minnesota toward west central Wisconsin. This weekend will be cooler but still near normal.
Kare 11's Sven Sundgaard takes a look at the forecast:
WCCO reports the metro could see anywhere from "a coating up to 2 inches."
Paul Douglas at the Star Tribune is predicting up to an inch.
