Rain hangs around; flash flood watch until 1 p.m.

A slow-moving storm system has settled in over Minnesota, delivering a good soaking.

Minnesota will see more rain Thursday, with skies partially clearing on Friday. Here's the roundup:

KARE 11 says a flood watch is in effect for the metro through 1 p.m. Thursday as more waves of showers and a few thunderstorms roll through. A few more waves of moisture are moving up from the southwest during the day Thursday.

KSTP says the Twin Cities may see 2-3 inches of rain by the time the storms taper off Thursday evening. Some areas could see 3-4 inches.

WCCO says there will be a mix of clouds and sun on Friday.

Spotters say a tornado touched down briefly near Glenwood this evening. Parts of southwest, west central and central Minnesota are under a tornado watch until 10 p.m. Tuesday. Large hail and damaging winds are possible.
