Edina-based Coldwell Banker Burnet has acquired the assets of a central Minnesota real estate brokerage. The St Cloud Times reported that the deal was completed Wednesday morning.

The Star Tribune reports that CBB acquired Prudential Pladson Realty Inc., with offices in St. Cloud and Sartell. The purchase will nearly double CBB's presence in the St. Cloud area. The company has 44 real estate agents in the area; the Pladson deal will add 35 agents.

The Wall Street Journal's Market Wire said that the two Purdential Pladson offices will now operate as Coldwell Banker Burnet. Former owner Sue Pladson will step down as head of the company but continue to sell real estate from the St. Cloud office.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
