Somebody left this out at a public park

That is a golf ball – spiked with nails.

Nobody was hurt, but police are still issuing a warning after a golf ball spiked with nails was found outside at a public park.

The Lakeville Police Department wrote about it in a Facebook post. saying the item was found at Antler's Park, near the volleyball courts.

Those are located right by the beach and close to the playground.

Lakeville PD says it was made aware of the spiked golf ball Tuesday. They checked the grounds and didn't find anything else suspicious like this.

Out of "an abundance of caution" however, the department posted it to Facebook for "awareness and summer safety."

They also remind people that, if you see any suspicious item or activity going on, call police directly at 911.
