It's not $758 million, which is what a still-unknown Powerball player in Massachusetts will be awarded after hitting the jackpot.

But $1 million isn't a bad haul either – and that's what one Minnesota Powerball ticket-buyer is in line to get.

The Minnesota State Lottery said someone who purchased a ticket at the Pit Stop on 620 Dutch Lake Drive in Howard Lake matched the five white numbers in Wednesday night's Powerball drawing.

That's a prize of $1 million (plus $5,000 for the business that sold it).

More Minnesota Powerball winners

Just because you didn't win a million doesn't mean you'll be empty-handed.

The MInnesota State Lottery says there were a few other big winners:

A $200,000 ticket (matched 4 white ball numbers plus Powerball number) was sold at Dred Scott Automotive in Bloomington.

And $50,000 tickets (4 white numbers plus the Powerball number matched) were sold across the state:

  • Federated Co-Ops Inc. in Scandia
  • Isanti Mobil in Isanti
  • Maggie's Superette in Maplewood

Under state law, you've got one year from the date of the drawing to claim your prize. If no one comes forward, the unclaimed money will go into Minnesota’s general fund.

The Minnesota Lottery has an unclaimed prizes section for you to check where winning tickets were sold.

This jackpot run brought in some money

For every $1 spent on lottery tickets in Minnesota, about 25 cents is given to state programs – either the general fund, or environmental funds, the lottery says.

This jackpot run lasted from June 14 through Aug. 23, with a total of 21 drawings. (The jackpot resets when someone wins it.)

During that time, there were 511,867 winning tickets sold in Minnesota – with prizes totaling more than $4 million, the state lottery says.

Total Powerball sales during that time in the state were $24.5 million, which generated $9.4 million in funding for Minnesota:

  • $3.1 million for the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund
  • $577,686 for the Game and Fish Fund
  • $577,686 for the Natural Resources Fund
  • And $5.1 million for the broader general fund

The lottery has brought in $2.6 billion in funding for the state over the years, according to the Minnesota State Lottery website.
