Who would steal a poop spreader? Someone in Minnesota.

A manure spreader was stolen in Southern Cass County sometime in the past week, according to a Facebook post from the sheriff's office.

The machinery, called a New Holland 790, was sitting on the side of Highway 64 with a "For Sale" sign on it, the post says.

But apparently someone decided to take the ol' five finger discount.

The post doesn't mention how much the farmer planned to sell it for – GoMN reached out to the sheriff's office to find out how much the thing is worth, and will update this story when we hear back.

According to this website, similar used manure spreaders are going for anywhere between $1,700 and $16,000.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the Cass County Sheriff's Office at 218-547-1424, and ask to speak with Sgt. Jason Brogle.
