Sorry, Jay-Z's tour isn't stopping in Minneapolis

You might have seen Minneapolis on Tidal's tour announcement. But it's wrong.

Despite what the Tidal website said on Monday morning, Jay-Z's 4:44 tour will NOT be stopping in Minneapolis.

The rap legend confirmed a North American tour on Monday following the release of his new album, 4:44, on his streaming service Tidal.

Tidal's homepage has a list of cities where Jay-Z will perform, and among them is "Minneapolis, MN" on December 6. However, on other versions of the tour schedule, Dec. 6 shows he will be playing in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Unfortunately for Minnesota fans, the Lincoln show is the correct one.

Target Center confirmed to GoMN that Jay-Z isn't scheduled, while the official announcement from tour operator Live Nation showing the superstar will indeed be in Nebraska on Dec. 6.

By 11 a.m., the Tidal homepage had been updated to reflect the correct venue.

So if you're looking to catch him perform, the closest venue is probably going to be his Chicago show on Dec. 5.

Jay-Z's new album has attracted plaudits and plenty of debate since its release last week, with reviewers suggesting it's a response to his wife, Beyonce's, album Lemonade that came out last year.

It also features reference to his attempts to secure exclusive streaming rights to Prince's back catalog following his death, criticizing Paisley Park and Prince's lawyer for choosing to accept offers from his competitors despite the Purple One's backing of Tidal.
