Soudan Mine reopens this weekend, 14 months after fire
Soudan Underground Mine State Park has been closed since a fire broke out in the half-mile deep mine shaft more than a year ago. Part of the shaft had to be rebuilt. But with repairs finished, park officials expect a bigger-than-usual crowd this summer.
