A St. Paul man has been arrested in connection with the death of another St. Paul man after an alleged car-surfing accident in Wisconsin Saturday. Shawn Swanson, 21, was reportedly riding on top of a moving car when he fell onto the pavement and died, the Burnett County, Wis., Sheriff's Office, said. The driver of the vehicle, Cole T. Fohrenkamm, 21, of St. Paul, was arrested on suspicion of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
St. Paul man pleads guilty to stabbing wife's eyes, killing her alleged lover
A St. Paul man pleaded guilty Friday to first-degree assault and second-degree murder in a 2011 case where he stabbed out the eyes of his wife, and then stabbed to death a man he alleged to be her lover. Prosecutors will be seeking a prison sentence of at least 39 years for Pah Ber, 49, when he is sentenced Aug. 31.

Twin Cities restauranteur Thom Pham faces felony charges for allegedly writing bad checks. The news comes in the same week his downtown restaurant upbruptly closed. According to a Mille Lacs County complaint, Pham wrote $30,000 worth of bad checks to A-Z Restaurant Equipment in Princeton, Minn. Pham's Wondrous Azian Kitchen closed its doors earlier this week.
Son charged with shooting mom at home daycare in St. Paul
A woman was reportedly struck in the arm by a stray bullet while watching over three children. The alleged shooter claimed the bullet came from outside the house and broke through a window, but police say the evidence suggests otherwise. Authorities say the window appeared to be broken from the inside and there was no bullet hole in the screen.
