St. Paul from space: Ex-Twin Cities doctor's latest snap from 200 miles up

When former Twin Cities doctor turned astronaut Kjell Lindgren posted a picture of Minneapolis from 200 miles above Earth, he "sensed some sibling rivalry" from along I-94.

But St. Paulites can be disappointed no longer after Lindgren obliged with another image showing Minnesota's state capital from from the International Space Station.

Dr. Kjell Lindgren, formerly of Hennepin County Medical Center, was one of three astronauts who made the journey in a Soyuz spacecraft to join the ISS crew as part of a NASA Expedition that launched from Kazakhstan in July.

While up there, he will help support “several hundred experiments in biology, biotechnology, physical science and Earth science – research that impacts life on Earth,” NASA says.
