Curtis Wehmeyer, 47, of Oakdale, was arrested in June after one of the boys told his mother, the newspaper reports. The boys were 12 and 14 at the time of the alleged abuse, according to a new criminal complaint.

There have been similar cases in the state.

Thomas Adamson, a former priest of the Diocese of Winona named in several lawsuits alleging sexual abuse of young boys, was barred from all diocese parishes and schools, the Winona Daily News reported.

The Winona Daily news reports the 78-year-old has never faced criminal charges because the statute of limitations had expired. He was transferred to the Archdiocese of St. Paul in 1975 after allegations started to surface.
