Minnesota drops in list of child-friendly states

The state has slipped a few rungs in a high-profile ranking of child-friendly states, largely because of its growing number of uninsured children. Minnesota is still No. 5 in the 2012 Kids Count data book, but this is the first time in 10 years that the state has ranked lower than No. 3.

Best Buy closing its sixth store in Minnesota

The Post Bulletin reports employees at the south location in Rochester were notified it will close May 12. Best Buy built the store less than five years ago. It's among the 50 stores the Richfield-based electronics retailer is closing to cut costs.
