Crash knocks Twin Cities TV news anchor off bike – and off the air

Julie Nelson will be flying solo in the KARE-11 anchor chair for awhile. Randy Shaver suffered a broken arm and scraped-up face in a bicycle accident Tuesday that sent him flying over his handlebars. It was not immediately clear when he would return to the studio.

Former Twin Cities anchor returns to WGN-TV

Former KSTP-TV anchor Mark Suppelsa will be back on-the-air Thursday evening after a month away for alcohol rehab. In May, the veteran anchorman publicly announced he was seeking treatment for alcohol addiction in Minnesota.
