State trooper urges drivers to slow down – then car hits his vehicle

Part of State Patrol spokesman Jesse Grabow's job is urging Minnesota drivers to slow down and drive carefully in bad weather, and he was back out on the highway doing just that early Tuesday morning, sending tweets like this:

Then bam! Grabow had pulled over at the scene of an accident in which a driver had hit the median on Interstate 94 near Melrose, WDAY reports, when another driver crashed into the back of his vehicle.

No one was seriously injured in the accident, said Grabow, who serves as public relations officer for the patrol in northwest Minnesota. He tweeted about his own accident to reiterate his message:

Sgt. Jesse Grabow

More "slow-down" weather is on the way ... forecasters say a dusting of snow is likely, mainly in central and southern Minnesota late Thursday. The Twin Cities could get 1 to 2 inches, KARE 11 reports. Rochester could see up to 3 inches, with less than an inch likely in Pipestone, the National Weather Services says.
