MNsure officials want people to know assistance will be available this weekend to help with enrollment for health coverage.
At least 70 enrollment events scheduled over the next three days. These events can be found on the MNsure “March to Enroll” webpage.
The exchange reports more than 152,000 Minnesotans have so far enrolled in coverage through MNsure.
But it will take more time for officials to say for sure how many previously uninsured people have obtained coverage for the first time, MNsure interim director Scott Leitz said Friday, according to the Associated Press.
Some statistics are being kept or gleaned from enrollment forms, but it's not known how many of the 400,000 previously uninsured Minnesotans have enrolled, Leitz said.
MNsure is entering a busy weekend as a Monday insurance sign-up deadline nears. So far more than 152,000 people have purchased either private insurance plans or qualified for a government-subsidized public plan.
Leitz said many on public programs previously lacked insurance.
MNsure success can't be fully measured in one year, Gov. Mark Dayton told the Associated Press.
