Sunset and Rainbows: Nature puts on a Thursday evening show

For those of us who work during the evening, it was hard not to be distracted by one of our favorite shows Thursday.

This show wasn't on TV or a tablet, though, it was the one Mother Nature put on the air outside our window in the Twin Cities.

Poll taken by Graves shows race with Bachmann is even

An internal poll taken by the Democratic challenger shows U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann's lead over Jim Graves has shrunk to two percentage points, which is within the poll's margin of error. The Bachmann campaign says the poll lacks credibility. The Graves camp says it shows fallout from Bachmann's claims about the Muslim Brotherhood and its influence in Washington.

Minnesota Zoo puts on last dolphin show

The dolphin show at the Minnesota Zoo is no more. Friday marked the final day for dolphin shows at the zoo after 35 years of performances. Organizers say that the two remaining dolphins -- Allie and Selmo -- will be moving to a new, undetermined location. While the shows are done, the zoo is starting a "Farewell Week" Saturday, where people can stop by to view the dolphins and see them interact with trainers.

New poll shows Minnesotans evenly divided on both amendments

The marriage and voter ID amendments need the support of a majority of Minnesotans who vote in November to become part of the state Constitution. The latest poll shows the marriage amendment supported by 49 percent of respondents, while 51 percent back the voter ID measure.
