Supporters hold vigil for Mankato football coach
Minnesota State University Mankato head football coach Todd Hoffner is due in court Wednesday stemming from charges of creating and possessing child pornography for recordings he made of his own children. Friends and neighbors held a candlelight vigil at the Hoffners' Eagle Lake home Tuesday night to show support for the family, the Mankato Free Press reports.
Hoffner's lawyer has said Blue Earth County investigators have found no evidence of child abuse against Hoffner. The Mankato Free Press reports letters from a social worker to Hoffner indicate the county found no need for child protection services.
Hoffner has lined up expert witnesses, the Star Tribune reported Tuesday.
Hoffner's wife Melodee has backed her husband.
