Surly beers will soon be available to Dakota neighbors, Nebraska

Surly Brewing is continuing expansion and will soon be available in North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska.

The Twin Cities-based craft brewery will be available at bars, restaurants and retailers starting Monday, May 2, the company announced.

Surly Furious, Hell and Overrated will be on draft in bars and restaurants, while cans of Bender, Coffee Bender, Todd the Axe Man, Furious, Hell, Cynic and Overated will be available at liquor stores.

They also announced that with the beer will come a "months-long invasion" including events, showcases, parties and community projects.

Surly had previously pulled back from its out-of-state markets, which included the Dakotas, to focus on Minnesota demand, but after planning and opening its $30 million destination brewery in Minneapolis, where the company is able to brew more beer, it began expanding back into its former markets, including Chicago, Wisconsin and in Iowa.
