Suspect in custody after man shot in head outside Eden Prairie store

One man is in custody following an incident outside an Eden Prairie grocery store in which another man was shot in the head.

Police received a call at 5.09 a.m. Saturday to check on the condition of a man outside the Jerry's Foods in the 9600 block of Anderson Lakes Parkway, off Highway 169, WCCO reports.

Upon arriving, officers found the 58-year-old victim lying next a delivery truck with head trauma, that was later discovered to be a gunshot wound, according to KARE 11.

The victim was taken the Hennepin County Medical Center, FOX9 reports, while Bloomington Police took a male suspect into custody about an hour later. The victim's condition and identity were not released.
