SUV rollover in Fridley sends 7 to hospital, alcohol could be a factor

A one-vehicle accident near I-694 and University Avenue in Fridley injured seven Saturday, several news outlets are reporting.

According to Lt. Eric Roeske of the Minnesota State Patrol, a Ford Explorer rolled over on southbound University Avenue, just north of I-694 at 5:20 p.m., reports WCCO-TV.

KSTP says the driver of the SUV, 35-year-old Jennifer Teetzel of Minneapolis, had been driving before the crash.

Six of the seven occupants involved were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, including a 4-year-old boy who was not wearing a seat belt or in a car seat, according to KARE 11.

WCCO reports the other victims include, 17-year-old Marissa Paulson of Savage, 16-year-old Cache Brown of Brooklyn Park, 15-year-old Delicia Davis, 18-year-old Jonquell Allen, 47-year-old Shelly LaBarre of St. Paul and 4-year-old Omar Mohammed.

There were no other vehicles involved, according to the Star Tribune.
