Taco Bell's new creation: A chalupa shell made of fried chicken

It looks just like a regular chalupa shell.

Taco Bell's newest food creation will have a shell made of fried chicken – not corn or flour.

The fast-food chain, which is apparently one of the healthiest out there, announced its new Naked Chicken Chalupa this week. It has a shell made from 4 ounces of marinated, fried chicken. The meat shell is then stuffed with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and creamy avocado ranch, a news release says.

Taco Bell recently tested the new chalupa in two cities, and it did so well that the Naked Chicken Chalupa will be available nationwide on Jan. 26. It costs $2.99 for the chalupa, or you can get it in a $5 box along with Doritos Locos Taco, a Crunchy Taco and a medium drink.

Taco Bell says it will tweet "some rebellious surprises" about the new menu item as the launch approaches, so people are encouraged to keep an eye on the hashtag #NakedChickenChalupa.
