Target Corp. and Fast Company magazine are kicking off a competition for mobile-app developers on Friday, Twin Cities Business reports.
The developer (a team or an individual) who creates the best new mobile experience for the Minneapolis-based retailer will receive the $75,000 grand prize.
“Innovation is core to Target’s culture and strategy, and we are always looking for new ideas to enhance the shopping experience for our guests,” Casey Carl, Target’s president of multichannel and senior vice president of enterprise strategy, said in a news release. “We’re proud to partner with an innovative publication like Fast Company, and we can’t wait to see what the developer community brings to the table through the Retail Accelerator.”
Entries will be accepted until April 30. Seven finalists will be selected in May by a panel of judges. A winner will be announced in July.
