Target Corp. has announced that Jason Goldberger will join the Minneapolis-based retailer on Feb. 11 as senior vice president of Target.com and Mobile, the Business Journal reports. He will oversee all functions associated with Target's e-commerce business, including the user experience, merchandising and analytics.

"We are very excited that Jason has agreed to join the Target team," Casey Carl, the company's president of Multichannel, said in a news release. "Jason's leadership, experience and skills in merchandising, marketing and online channels will help us on our journey towards providing guests a seamless and integrated Target experience."

"Target has long been a leader in quality merchandise, creative marketing and offering a great shopping experience," Goldberg said in a statement. "There's never been a better time to join a retailer with Target's proven track record, and I'm excited to continue the work of bringing the Target experience to the online world."

Twin Cities Business says Goldberger most recently served as executive vice president for Gilt Groupe, a New York-based online retailer. He also worked at Seattle-based Amazon.com for eight years.

Earlier this month, Target made its holiday season price-matching policy permanent. The retailer says it will match prices from select online retail rivals year-round.
