Target readies opening of 20 new stores in Canada
Minneapolis-based retailer Target Corp. is getting ready to open more stores in Canada.
The Pioneer Press reports that 20 new locations will open in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia this month.
The bulk of the new openings will be July 16 when 18 stores open their doors. Another two stores will open later in the month.
Target is aiming to open 124 new stores in all this year in Canada. So far this year the chain has opened 68.
The Canadian stores mark Target's first stores outside of the U.S.
The first three "pilot" stores in Canada opened in March.
